Don't look (poem/book#2)
Trimming
Don’t Look
Don’t look.
Whatever you do, don’t
look.
To me, from my body,
don’t look.
These grades just don’t
like me, don’t look.
When failure’s more than
just likely, don’t look.
When consequences look
ugly, don’t look.
When danger is looming,
don’t look.
When doors close before
you, don’t look.
When the ripples of love
lost befalls you, don’t look.
When people ignore you,
don’t look.
As you reach life’s
crossroads, don’t look.
Your self-experience is
paving a way for your self-reflections to spark your self-therapy, don’t look.
When you’ve experienced
too much pain and suffering, don’t feel or look.
When it comes to the
real me, don’t look.
How can I ever see beauty in the truth, if I don’t look?
