Youthful Spirit (poem/book#2)

Youthful Spirit

They call me kid.

They say that I’m too young to know what I want in life.

They say don’t make mistakes like we have made.

Youth: A euphemism for trouble maker. I kid.

I am more than your description: I, kid.

I believe in the beauty of flaws.

I believe in love. I believe in life. I believe in possibilities.

I won’t get old, but I will grow older.

Youthful spirit.

Being idealistic doesn’t make you a good person, it makes you na├»ve.

Being a realist doesn’t make you grounded, powerful or successful; it makes you normal, and old – not in wisdom, but in thoughts and spirit.

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent a night with a mosquito.” – African Proverb
